CHOQUEQUIRAO: 5 DAYS / 4
NIGHTS
It is located in the
northeast area of Cusco
between Apurimac,
Urubamba Rivers and the
mountain range of the

Salkantay Mountain.

as a refugee and a
natural fortress for the
sixteenth Inca movement
of resistance in the XVI
century that was trying
to take control of the
Tawantinsuyo from the
Spanish invaders. The
costumes and the typical
clothing of the local
people reflect the
mixture of two cultures.
Its language and its
textiles, with Inca and
pre-inca decoration
which is why one can
notice the Qhechua
influence they have.
